The design of Jotun Headquarters will be on innovative architecture, particularly the facade fins as a significant design element. These facade fins serve multiple purposes: they are an aesthetic feature, create dynamic visual interest, and have practical applications in terms of solar shading and energy efficiency. This architectural feature is especially relevant in Malaysia's tropical climate, where managing sunlight and heat gain is crucial for building sustainability and occupant comfort.

Facade fins can be designed in various materials, shapes, and orientations to optimize sunlight control, enhance natural ventilation, and contribute to the building's overall energy performance. In the context of an R&D industrial project like the Jotun HQ, integrating such architectural elements aligns with the innovative and forward-thinking ethos typical of research and development facilities.

SiLC is a fully-integrated sustainable managed park built to maximize business growth. It is served with a comprehensive infrastructure that includes a robust Safety and Security Masterplan, access to dedicated investor services and the option to access Central Utilities Facilities.

The park is also strategically located amid a rich ecosystem of industries, residential developments and leisure spots.

EPAC purpose built industrial building is a state-of-the-art high-tech printing facility with a built-up of 3,300sq.m. located on a 1.5 acre industrial plot in Sendayan Tech Valley, Negri Sembilan. The facility is designed to meet energy efficient & sustainable goals establish by our client with conducive work environment to its' occupants. 

The design approach for this project is to provide strong identity with clear circulation connection to activate communication between distinct programmatic components of the project. The frontal envelope of the office space  provides the address  with generous landscaped deck while the production area to the rear is hermetically sealed environment with large overhangs and with high specification insulation materials to reduce heat gain to the building envelope. 

Client : Ascendas RBF, Nusajaya Tech Park 
Nusajaya Tech Park spreads across 210 hectares of land in Iskandar Malaysia. It brings together best-in-class business space and sophisticated facilities in a prestigious and eco-friendly environment. 

A layman's perception of industrial architecture is often rigid in structure and static in nature. Ascendas' RBF was designed to counter this traditional opinion by incorporating a dynamic stance whilst optimizing practicality to redefine industrial architecture in Malaysia. 

This was approached by molding the common factory scheme from bottom-up by softening the edges, providing angular walls and organic-like protrusions - contributing to its dynamic form. The frontal envelope divides the office space and production area whilst integrating visual connectivity amongst the two programs. Green-certified materials were incorporated and the jack roof provides a passive approach in sustainability with natural cross-ventilation and lighting. 

Client :  Lembaga Getah Malaysia
Stipulated to be a Gold Rated Green Building by Board of Rubber Industry Malaysia, this 57,000 sq.ft building is one of the components amidst the many other ancillary facilities and research building in this rubber research related business park of 45 acres at the rubber research station plantation in Kota Tinggi , Johore. 

It has green features such as eco friendly land formation and leveling gravity flow production, storm water harvesting, energy saving equipments, optimum ventilation, biological sewage, effluent treatment, indigenous and recyclable materials and landscaping has been used extensively. 

Client : Dai-ichi Seiko (M) Sdn Bhd 
DSM factory which own by Japanese Electronic Company is one of the fast track project at site which only required 10 months to complete for operation and with CCC. 

This 468,092.1 sq.ft factory building included with ancillary buildings were built on 10.746 acres plot at Nusajaya Tech Park. 

DSM direction was to respect the surrounding park design by following similar concept however not to jeopardize Daiichi Seiko’s own corporate identity to the factory design.  DSM Factory Office also has awarded with Top 3 of Best Work Space by JIDA Design Award in year 2019. 

Client : MISC
The MISC Integrated Logistics Hub at Pulau Indah was conceived as an international level logistics complex. The design is not just about a logistics complex but a statement of the company's philosophy, business and history. The simple boxed warehouse is transformed into an expression of nautical impression while projecting an image of practicality and efficiency. 

The logistics complex with 3 major block for logistics, administration and recreation is simply expressed through titillation of the roof, grand sweeping gesture interspersed with humanistic details such as sun shading devices and exposed services elements. The Logistics Hub is thus presented as an elegant structure without losing its identity as a practical and functional entity. 

Client : Northern Utilities Resources Sdn Bhd
The Administration Building for Northern Utilities Resources is part of a large powerplant complex which produces electricity for the Hi-Tech Park in Kulim. It is a modest 3-storey structure clad in glass and metal panels, and houses offices, customer support and staff facilities. VERITAS' service extended to completion of schematic design the balance having been undertaken by Kamal Ismail Architects. It is located in Kulim, Kedah. 

Client : The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd 
The project comprises a 150,000 sq. ft. newspaper printing plant and offices as the third phase of a 4-plant "roll-out" through out the country. The 22 meter high structure incorporates state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical systems for high-technology process requirements. The project is located in Prai, Penang.
