The Sri Lankan Catering Facility is located at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Its location is 2 km to the North east of the main terminal building, and adjacent to the apron of the airport’s taxi-way.

This 4-storey in-flight kitchen was planned for the preparation of 15,000 passenger meals per day for phase 1 and up to 25,000 passenger meals per day for phase II using a power-and-free mechanical system. The design concept of the project was a minimalistindustrial look with importance placed on low-maintenance durable external materials.

Implementation of the project involved a high level of technical complexity due to various industrial requirements. The project was completed in 2002 for Sri Lankan Airlines, which at that time was a subsidiary of Emirates Airlines.

The MAS Administrative Office encompasses 24,400 sq m of office spaces and includes a 500 seat auditorium. The design seeks to reinforce the corporate identity of the national airline by employing a consistent architectural language throughout the scheme. The modern aesthetic of the previous MAS buildings are carried through to this facility but reinterpreted with new materials. The overall master plan is driven by efficient administration and the interfacing of the ground support facilities. The building are simple rectilinear volumes clad in white powder coated aluminum composite panels to project an image of operational efficiency and hygiene. The strong horizontal expression of the building massing is relieved by circulation elements breaking up the long facades. Fenestrations are aluminum with MAS’ blue tinted glazing, in adherence to MAS’ specifications.

The MAS In-flight Catering Complex is a  630,000 sq.ft. 3 storey facility for the preparation of up to 38,000 passenger meals per day. Design and development involved a high level of technical complexity due to various industrial requirements. It was designed in conjunction with McClier of USA  and is located at the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang.

The Sirte International Airport is strategically located within drivable distance from the nearest Libyan conurbations, at the edge of the Libyan dessert. Conceived to service the increasing demand and catchment area of the nearest townships, the airport is one component of the core transportation plan projected to expand in tempo with their developments. Sited on a level sandy and rocky terrain, the airport needs to fulfill the requirements of air travel for a growing population, whilst contending with the dried and arid climate of the Libyan Desert in a sustainable and economical manner.

Technologically, the airport’s core structure must also accede to the latest advances in air flight technology. These requirements lend themselves to a brief comprising 8 terminals, supporting service zones and cargo hold zones and the passenger processing zones—the interface between the user experience and the support system of the airport. The arrival and departure halls of the airport which constitute the largest elements in the airport masterplan is orientated along a north-south axis to reduce the amount of sun exposure. Service spaces are arranged according to the natural sequence of the working processes of working an airport. Each of these respective volumes is represented as geometric shapes with long vertical and horizontal skylights cut into them.

Light is thus introduced into the deep plan consistent with the building’s structure. The colors of these boxes take its cues from the sandy hued surroundings; alternating panels of different shades of brown introduce visual variety and texture. The boundaries of the drop-off zones are demarcated by deep overhangs to shade passengers from direct sun exposure, becoming a desert-esque porte cochere.

Complex of 7 buildings encompassing all aspects of cargo handling. Total built-up area of 550,000 sq.ft. covering a land area of 45 acres. Located at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang, done in conjunction with Munich Airports of Germany.

Client : MAHB 
The LCCT Development and its associated requirement for a strategic partnership with a main Low Cost Carrier would make this a First Dedicated LCCT in the world. With the changing perception of air travel this is an opportunity to maintain Kuala Lumpur as one of the Best and Most Innovative Airports in the world.

The New Doha International Airport (NDIA) is currently under construction in Qatar, and VERITAS as part of the Muhibbah-Engineering Berhad (MEB) consortium, recently won the design-build bid for one of its major components; the In-Flight Catering Facility.

Client : Air Asia Berhad
This  is a low cost carrier terminal located in East Malaysia. The design aims to bring the combined feeling of excitement, whilst keeping in mind the sustainable design aspect of the transportation hub. The terminal building takes inspiration from the flight of an airplane itself translating into the three different heighten/rising volumes. This staggering of heights provide an opportunity for the whole terminal building to be lit by natural light. Furthermore, the roof derives its form from ‘a shield from the Iban tribe of the Sarawak.

The way handling and finishes of the terminal building adopts the modern and clean approach. Large concession spaces, open public spaces and exposed structures bring about the feeling of excitement in the terminal layout. The design keeps in mind minimal travel distance for passengers commuting from the building’s entrance, all the way to the departure hall, which in turn increases the efficiency. Also, large advertisement spaces are integrated to bring non-aeronautical revenue for the airport. 

Clients : Air Asia Berhad
Completed and operational since November 7th 2016, RedQuarters is the new home for AirAsia’s global headquarters. The 6-storey block comprising 3 levels of office, totalling some 240,000 sf, on top of another 3 levels of parking, integrates all operational and administrative functions of the AirAsia Group with supporting conference and recreational facilities for the Allstars, the moniker given to the highly driven employees. Covering an area of approximately 4.8 acres, the project site is located just beside the new Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 2).

Client : Government of Myanmar Union
The agreement aims to generate further expansion of domestic and international flights to Mandalay and to increase passenger traffic through the airport. Also to undertake the operation, rehabilitation and addition of airport facilities, including terminal buildings.
