VERITAS Architects Sdn Bhd. Johor Bahru

As a principal of VERITAS Design Group since 2005, Shah Jaffar has had more than 24 years of diverse experiences ranging from Urban design to the Development and planning of Theme Park, both locally and internationally.

He studied at the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) and went on to further his studies at the Architectural Association, London. Upon returning to Malaysia in 1989 he has taught at UTM and developed a successful studio atelier based program with a definitive architectural design approach and character with reverence to Landscape and Culture. While collaborating with University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) he won a UNESCO science invention award for the design of a self sustainable solar - hydrogen powered house in 2002.

He leads Veritas Johore office as a long term strategic expansion for Veritas Design Group to serve and service its Southern Peninsula Malaysia clientele. For the past two years he was the architect in charge of two big schools for Disabled Students under the Ministry of Education Malaysia which exposed him to specialised design requirements for the impaired hearing, sight and mobility.

Year 2009 turned out to be an important milestone for the Johor Office. The Legoland Theme Park project by Iskandar Investments Berhad was a feather in the hat, and reaped the fruits for his ventures to the south. The year 2010 was another good year, when Veritas Johore secured Tropez Danga Bay Residences project which is the tallest and biggest Waterfront Condominium development in Johor Bahru. In 2011, Veritas Johore was commissioned to work on another high profile job which is the Master Planning and Urban Design for the Transformation of Johor Bahru CBD for IRDA, UPEN and KPRJ Consortium.
