KLCC Lot C
Lot C KLCC is a proposed 54 storey mixed-use development comprising offices, service apartments and retail located next to the PETRONAS Twin Towers. The plan is derived from a triangulated footprint resulting from 3 overlapping circles, inspired by the geometric purity of traditional Islamic patterns. The form of the tower is divided into 3 distinctly curving planes, allowing for maximum views to the KLCC park and the city skyline. The fluted profile avoids a direct frontage and reduces its proximity to the adjacent PETRONAS Twin Towers. Its curved profile complements the forms of both Maxis Tower and the Twin Towers to enable the ensemble to read as part of a family of buildings ringing the park. A viewing gallery providespublic access to the top of the building. The tower is divided into 5 different zones: retail, offices, serviced apartments and finally, sky courts and viewing galleries at the pinnacle. The project was done in conjunction with KPF Architects of New York.
